Boho Beautiful at White Oak Farms

A dream team of wedding vendors came together to produce a stunning styled wedding shoot earlier this year. This styled shoot was featured on Perfete’s Blog. To read their post head here: Perfete Blog Click Here

Our all-white modern barn venue was the perfect backdrop for this boho-chic inspired photo shoot.  From vibrant fuchsia to rich oranges to gorgeous emerald greens and varying shades of pinks, purples and blues, we used a variety of jewel tones to set the stage for this styled shoot.  From the Main Hall ceremony set-up to the sweetheart table for the bride and groom to the wedding invitation suite to the jewelry the bride wore, all of these colors were incorporated into the shoot.

Upon arriving at the venue, guests would be greeted with a charcuterie food display filled with a variety of meats, gourmet cheeses, nuts, crackers and organic vegetables that also doubled as a unique escort card table.  Hand-calligraphed place card settings were set in fresh oranges throughout the display to show guests where to take their seat.  Wooden bowls, chargers and platters were mixed effortlessly against greenery and vibrant pomegranates.

Boho-wedding decor elements, including pampas grass, vintage Peacock chairs, vintage glassware of various shades and antique rugs, were set against a gorgeous velvet linen from BBJ Linens and gold flatware and chargers.  The charcoal gray barn doors and vintage chandelier were in the background of this sweetheart table.

For this shoot, two different ceremony locations were styled.  The inside of the Main Hall of the venue served as the backdrop for Ceremony Option #1.  This ceremony featured our copper arbor draped in gorgeous greenery and flanked by a floral installation.  The aisle featured 3 different antique rugs.  The “flower girls” were 2 baby goat twin sisters who both wore floral garlands around their necks as they walked down the aisle.

The Veranda served as Ceremony Option #2 and included a wooden arbor draped in teal silk.  This outdoor Veranda serves as an intimate ceremony area and later turned into a reception area with soft seating, including antique furniture, vintage rugs and an antique church pew.

For the florals for this photo shoot, Hannah, White Oak Farms Venue Manager and owner of Sweet Peas Wedding and Event Florist, used hot pink roses, purple lisianthus, dark purple scabiosa, orange ranunculus, dried bunny tails, dried pink palms, Queen Protea, Billy Balls, Pepper Berry, pomegranates, artichokes, pampas grass, Magnolia leaves and maroon hanging amaranthus.

By doing this styled shoot, we hope that it inspires brides to embrace color, mix vintage items with modern ones, as well as utilize decor you’d often find in a home, like these vintage rugs, in their wedding day design.
