We are so excited to share with you a gorgeous November wedding we hosted. Eleah and Josh celebrated their wedding day here surrounded by family and friends that had traveled from all over the country to witness them becoming husband and wife. There were so many things we loved about this wedding, including that copper arbor (we bought it from her after her wedding so other brides can use it), the color combo she chose, the florals, the bridal party praying over the bride and groom, the charcuterie table and the custom signage-just to name a few. We interviewed Eleah, the bride, and y’all are going to love hearing their story.

Tell us the short story of how you met one another.

Josh and I met each other through college, and quickly became good friends. We loved going to concerts together, driving to East Tennessee to hike, walking our puppy and spending time with our friends. We dated for almost two years before we got engaged!

Tell us about the proposal!

Over our fall break in October 2018, I thought we were going to Chattanooga to spend time with his family. But when we got in the car, Josh said, "So... we're not going to Chattanooga. We're going to Chicago!" I was so excited, because I'm from Chicago and I was thinking we'd get to spend the week with friends! Little did I know, Josh was planning to propose. That Thursday night, Josh and I went on a walk down the skyline in downtown Chicago, and then Josh got down on one knee! It was the sweetest surprise in my favorite place in the world and definitely a day we won't forget! After he proposed on the lakefront, he surprised me with both of our families (they traveled from Florida and Chattanooga to be there!) and then we had dinner on the 95th floor of a skyscraper in downtown Chicago where we got to celebrate being engaged and overlook the beautiful city all lit up!

What was your favorite moment on your wedding day?

Wow, that's so hard, there were so many sweet moments! I think our favorite moment has to be right after we got married and walked out, all our best friends came right behind us and it was just the sweetest minute of celebrating! We also loved our first look, even in the middle of November, White Oak Farms had a beautiful lake with greenery and an overlook that created the perfect space for our first moments together on our wedding day!

Why did you choose White Oak Farms?

We chose White Oak because not only is it a beautiful, modern venue, but everyone who works there was immediately so helpful and welcoming.

In a few words describe your theme or style for your wedding.

Modern, minimalist

Is there anything else you can tell us about your love story?

Something that was so special to us was having our family and best friends as such a big part of our day. We couldn't have done it without each of them.

Is there anything else you think future couples will find interesting / helpful about planning your wedding?

Our advice would be to just soak up every minute of your wedding. It's the most special day and you don't want to miss any of it!
